Whole Home Repiping in Riverside, CA

Plumbing MATTers Rooter & Plumbing Services

When the pipes in your house are old, fixing leaks one at a time turns into a never-ending repair bill. Repiping replaces the old water supply lines with new copper or PEX, so you get steady pressure, clean water, and an end to the next-leak-is-coming worry.

We do whole-home and partial repipes, replace galvanized and polybutylene pipe, pull the required permits, and patch the openings when we’re done.

Call (909) 714-2207 to talk about repiping your home.

Signs it's time to repipe

  • Leaks keep happening, especially more than one in a year
  • Rusty, brown or discolored water, often from corroding galvanized pipe
  • Low water pressure that’s gotten worse over time
  • Galvanized steel or polybutylene pipe in the house
  • More than one slab leak: see our slab leak page
  • Water that runs hot then cold or pressure that drops when another fixture runs
  • Visible corrosion on exposed pipes and fittings

Whole-home or partial repipe

Whole-home repipe

Replaces all the water supply lines in the house. It’s the right call when the pipe throughout the home is old, corroded or a material prone to failure.

Partial repipe

Replaces the problem sections, such as a single bathroom, the kitchen, or a line that’s leaked under the slab and is better rerouted. It makes sense when the rest of the system is in good shape.

We’ll tell you honestly which one your home needs.

Copper vs. PEX

  • Copper: long-lasting and durable, a proven choice for decades.
  • PEX: flexible tubing that resists corrosion and needs fewer fittings, which often means less wall opening and a faster install.
We install both and will help you choose what fits your home and budget.

Galvanized and polybutylene replacement

  • Galvanized steel corrodes from the inside. Over the years it narrows the pipe, drops your pressure and can turn the water rusty.
  • Polybutylene, a gray plastic pipe used in some older homes, is prone to failure without much warning.
If your home has either, repiping is usually the most reliable fix.

Repipe FAQs

Do I need to repipe the whole house?

Not always. If the problems are limited to one area and the rest of the pipe is in good shape, a partial repipe can be enough. If the house has galvanized or polybutylene throughout, a whole-home repipe is usually the better investment.

Copper or PEX: which is better?

Both are good. Copper is the long-proven standard. PEX resists corrosion and often installs with less wall opening. We’ll recommend what fits your home.

Will you have to open walls?

Some openings are needed to run the new pipe. We keep them as small as we can and patch them when the job’s done.

Do you pull permits?

Yes. We pull the required permits for repiping.

Is repiping worth it?

If you’re repairing leaks every year or dealing with rusty water and low pressure, repiping usually costs less over time than continuing to patch an old system, and it protects your home from water damage.
