Sewer Camera Inspection in Riverside, CA

Plumbing MATTers Rooter & Plumbing Services

Your sewer line is buried, so the only way to know what’s really going on inside it is to look. A sewer camera inspection puts a waterproof camera inside the pipe so we can see roots, cracks, sags and buildup directly. That means no guessing and no digging to find out.

We show you the footage, explain what it means, and tell you whether the line needs cleaning, repair or nothing at all.

Call (909) 714-2207 to schedule a sewer camera inspection.

When a camera inspection makes sense

  • Clogs keep coming back after the drain’s been cleared
  • Several drains are slow or backing up at the same time
  • Gurgling toilets or water coming up in the tub when you flush
  • Sewage smell in the house or yard
  • You have big trees near the sewer line, or roots have been a problem before
  • Before a sewer repair, to know exactly where the problem is and how big it is
  • After hydro jetting, to confirm the line is fully clear

What the camera can find

  • Tree roots growing into joints and cracks
  • Cracked or broken pipe
  • Offset or separated joints
  • Bellies, low spots where the pipe has sagged and waste collects
  • Collapsed sections
  • Corrosion and scale inside old cast iron pipe
  • Deformed Orangeburg pipe in older homes
  • Grease buildup and other blockages
  • Objects that shouldn’t be in the line

How it works

  1. Access the line. We feed the camera in through a cleanout or other access point. If your home doesn’t have a usable cleanout, we can install one.
  2. Inspect. We push the camera along the line and watch the live picture as it goes.
  3. Review the footage with you. We show you what we found and explain it in plain language.
  4. Recommend next steps. Sometimes the line just needs hydro jetting or drain cleaning. Sometimes it needs a spot repair or replacement. And sometimes it’s fine and you don’t need to do anything.

Why look before you dig

Without a camera, a sewer repair is guesswork. You could be replacing pipe that’s fine, or clearing a clog that comes right back because the pipe underneath is broken. Seeing the problem first means the fix matches the problem, and you only pay for the work you actually need.

Residential and commercial

We camera-inspect sewer lines for homes and for businesses of all kinds, including restaurants, offices, retail and multi-unit properties. See our commercial plumbing page.

Sewer camera inspection FAQs

Do I get to see the footage?

Yes. We’ll show you what the camera found and walk you through it.

Does a camera inspection fix the problem?

No. It shows what the problem is. Depending on what we find, the next step might be hydro jetting, a spot repair, a full replacement, or nothing at all.

Do I need a cleanout?

The camera needs a way into the line, and a cleanout is the easiest one. If your home doesn’t have a usable cleanout, we can install one.

Can the camera see tree roots?

Yes. Roots are one of the most common things we find. The footage shows where they’re getting in, which tells us whether cleaning will hold or the pipe needs repair.
